Gosh we have really had a full on view of environmental pollution in the mainstream media as of late. What is the point I ask myself, we all watch and go “oh no” that is awful, but can there be a answer before it really is too late. Well on many levels I think we have reached too late. It can be noted that as our people as a nation get sicker, our medical bill rises, our children get larger and it has become normal to wake up feeling terrible, there does not seem an end in site. I applaud the makers of this documentary “http://www.thegrafboys.org/ Are we even able to think for ourselves anymore as the threat of not having food on the table and the rent/mortgage paid looms over our capacity to stand up and shout. Lets make life interesting, lets shout, lets make noise, noise in our own homes about how we live and consume. We are at the foresfront of a new society that will lead us and our children’s children into the future. An extremely exciting time. However when we have people openly choosing destruction and poison as a way of life then the consequences of this are devastating. Lets hope for future generations sake that more and more people open their mouths and shout for positive change.

DOC has had its day with 1080, the recent ’slip up’ with brodificoum in Auckland has really caught the public’s attention. What I hate about 1080 is that DOC supports it unequivocally – almost to the point where they’re starting to sound like brainwashed idiots. Did you know that when its applied to the leaves of plants in a gel that the leaves blister? The toxin is taken up by the plant so it acts like a systemic insecticide. What would NZ be like with no insects and who would want to gather plants from land that’d been blitzed by 1080?
hi, this poisoning of our lands and animals must be stopped at any cost!!.the government , doc , and other assosiated parties will continue to say ” this is a safe and economical way to controll the oppossum” , which we all know has to be done for the good of our forests and bush. do these people even think of the future of our kid’s ,our grandkid’s who want to be able to harvest food for there families as we have, from the wonderful lands we live in?? why don’t they look at the evedince which is available showing the huge effect’s which this 1080 poison has to the environment and the “untargeted”??? animals. TO DOC AND IT’S WORKERS, YES ALL WORKERS , WAKE THE “F–K UP”, STOP BEING HIPPOCRIT’S AND GET BACK TO THE TRADITIONAL WAYS OF DEALING WITH THE OPPOSSM. OR IS IT REALLY MORE THAN THE OPOSSUM?? WE ALL KNOW YOU DON’T LIKE DEER, CHAMOIS,THAR, PIGS,GOATS,OR BASICALLY ANY OTHER INTRODUCED ANIMAL THAT LIVES IN OUR LANDS, SO IS THIS WHY THE ” BY KILL OF OUR NATIVE SPECIES” AND POSSIBLY OUR PEOPLE IN THE FUTURE IS BEING WIPPED ASSIDE ?? BECAUSE DOC HAS BECOME SO TUNNLE VISONED AND LOST TOUCH WITH WHAT THEY REALLY ARE ALL ABOUT/ WHICH IS TO PROTECT THE VERY ANIMALS AND THE ENVIRONMENT THEY ARE KILLING.

I think it was generous of the graf boys to make their doco Poisoning Paradise available for free through ziln but they didn’t cover their costs of making it and I would like them to. I reckon that if people bought a copy and lent it to all their friends, we would end up spreading the truth about 1080 faster. You can buy a copy at http://www.thegrafboys.org. Thx Kathy, great links, will join them on FB. Even the Green Party support some controlled use of 1080. Stay strong and positive, it is really hard at times to understand why people do things they do and very sad, people are just so very stubborn.
